Role: Stores Controller
Overall Objective
At Bellurgan we manufacture competitive and innovative precision machined components using cutting edge technology and state of the art robotics; we are currently seeking an experienced Stores Controller to join our growing team. This is a full time permanent opportunity for someone that enjoys working in a fast paced and varied environment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in stores and/or warehousing.
Reporting to: Procurement Manager
Hours: 39 hours per week
Responsibilities & Duties
Receive product as per procedure
Ensure that raw materials and components are available to production when needed, as not to inhibit the production schedule
Maintain the warehouse with safety foremost in mind
Ensure second process status has been updated for daily production meetings
Assist with month-end stock takes
Cycle counting
Use FIFO when issuing stock
Highlight any potential quality problem to the quality department and logistics supervisor (i.e. wrong labels or damaged stock)
Operation of counterbalance forklift
Keep up to date with the priorities of the Production Manager
Follow and promote health & safety procedures and maintain standards for area
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant stores experience
Counterbalance Forklift Licence (Desirable)
Person/Skills Required
Strong communication & numeracy skills
Excellent attention to detail
Basic knowledge and understanding of computer software packages e.g. Microsoft Excel
Basic knowledge and understanding of ERP systems, i.e. Epicor
