Must have a good working knowledge of production and quality processes & systems
Minimum 2 years direct supervisory experience
Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and managing by metrics
Experience in CNC Milling and Turning, advantageous

Practical level-headed individual with a strong technical ability
Self-starter with excellent motivational, interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated success in supervising a team, preferably in a production environment
IT skills – ERP system use is an important part of the job

Day to day management of production areas and associated operators whilst maximising production capacity and resources (level loading workload of operators)
Monitoring, measuring and reporting on production related performance, preventative maintenance performance and updating any related visual management tools
Review the accuracy and control the inputs to ERP from Production on a daily basis
Achievement of manufacturing targets and continuous improvement initiatives whilst maintaining 6S at a high level within the production area
Working closely with other Supervisors to ensure smooth production handover
Liaising with the engineering department on programming, setting and operation of CNC machines when required
Ensuring the Operator maintains and keeps in working order all equipment, machinery, tools & gauges
Ensure all health, safety and quality procedures and work instructions are adhered to
