Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Overall Objective
To provide ongoing support in the development and maintenance of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals
Reporting to: Head of Operations
Responsibilities & Duties
Maintain and improve existing key metrics, manage updates and deliver
Provide engineering support for precision machining, finishing and assembly
Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, and quality control standards
Troubleshoot new products and process working closely with product development
Assist and develop operatives and technicians in optimization of machining processes for safety, quality, schedule and cost guidelines
Consult with management, engineering, quality and production regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes
Drive, support and participate in ongoing continuous improvement projects for cycle time, cost, scrap and machine downtime reduction
Ensure compliance to industry quality and environmental standards; develop and implement appropriate supporting documentation
Share knowledge and experience with others and provide relevant training to colleagues, where required
Any other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications & Experience
Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Strong background working with CNC machines and CADCAM / Solidworks software packages desirable
Experience working with and mentoring technicians desirable

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven process engineering skills
