Overall Objective

To ensure effective operation of CNC turning machines

Reporting to

Line Leader

Hours

39 hours per week (Variable shifts over 7 day week and 24 hour day)

Responsibilities & Duties

Select program and load to machine
Setting of tooling and machine auxiliary equipment to job package specification
Achieving competitive cycle times and production targets
Ensure quality standards of products manufactured are met through basic quality inspection & measurement of parts
Machine and tooling preventive maintenance plans
Technical troubleshoot machine and process
Material supply to machine & swarf control
Monitor safe operation of machines
Report on production, complete required paperwork and basic computer data entry
Participate in continuous improvement
Maintain cleanliness of machine and surrounding area
Keep supervisor and/or QC informed of any issues
Maintain health and safety standards for the area
Any other duties as reasonably required
